What does Whips Pro actually do?
It runs the full booking-to-review loop for a mobile detailing business: booking form, quotes, appointments, invoices, card-on-file payments, receipts, review requests, and rebooking. It's the software you'd otherwise assemble from six tools.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Pro is free for 30 days and we don't ask for a card until you decide to keep it. If you don't, everything just goes read-only - no surprise charge.
How is Whips different from Jobber or Housecall Pro?
Jobber and Housecall are horizontal - they serve every field service trade, so they carry a lot of surface you don't need. Whips is built for one job: mobile detailing. That's how we can charge under $30/mo instead of $65+.
What if I have a website already?
Keep it. The Starter tier ($9) gives you the booking form + inbox to embed, and the Pro tier ships an embeddable widget so you can drop Whips booking straight onto your existing site.
Can I use my own Stripe account?
Yes - and we insist on it. Payments run through your Stripe, not ours. That means the money lands in your bank and we never touch it. You control refunds, disputes, and payout timing.
Do I need SMS?
Probably not as much as you think. We deliver booking confirmations, receipts, review requests, and rebooking nudges by email from a warmed sending domain. SMS costs $15-40/mo per operator once you factor in carrier fees and 10DLC. We may add it as an opt-in add-on later, not as a base-price justification.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes - native Android is in the Play Store today, iOS is in TestFlight and shipping soon. Offline queue is built in, so patchy LTE at a job doesn't lose your checklist or photos.
What happens after my trial ends?
Your data stays. Your subdomain stays. If you haven't added a card, the workflow tools go read-only - you can still view everything, and your customer-facing booking page still resolves, it just can't take new bookings until you pick a tier.
Can I import my existing customers?
Yes - upload a CSV of names, phones, emails, and last-service dates and we'll merge duplicates for you. If you're moving from a specific tool and want help mapping the columns, email support and we'll do it with you.
Do you take a cut of my payments?
No. We charge a flat monthly subscription and nothing else. Payments run through your Stripe account with Stripe's standard processing fees - we don't add anything on top.
Is my data mine?
Yes. Customers, jobs, invoices, and photos are yours. Every list has a CSV export. If you ever leave, you take the data with you.
What if I decide to leave?
Export everything from the dashboard, then cancel from settings. No exit interview, no retention call, no hoops. If you want to keep the free profile page after you leave Pro, you can.
